Make sure the whipping cream is cold from the fridge. Place it in a large mixing bowl.
Using an electric hand whisk, whip the cream until stiff peaks hold.
Add the condensed milk, orange extract, orange zest, five spice powder, salt and rum, if using.
Whisk on medium speed just until everything is evenly combined, scraping the sides down as needed.
Cover the bowl and place in the freezer to set for at least 6 hours.
| No-churn ice cream tends to be slightly sweeter than regular ice cream, so using the five spice and orange flavours helps to cut through it. If you want to experiment, choose flavourings that will go well with the sweet taste.
